Visit of Executive to Dorset Divisional meeting

On Saturday 12th October 2024, the Deputy Intendant General, Divisional Recorder and Divisional Marshal drove to Poole to pickup the Intendant General for a short trip to Wareham for the Annual Conclave meeting of the Division of Dorset and Wiltshire.

This is the closest Divisional visit to the Intendant General’s  home, and is even closer than any visit to Conclaves in his own Division.

He likes attending this meeting as it is a short journey for him and he prefers not having to get up too early!!

The team arrived nice and early at the meeting in order to get a car parking space outside the masonic temple, as parking was limited.

They then dropped of their regalia, signed in, and then went off to explore Wareham in order to find a local cafe that would provide bacon rolls.

After a very short walk they found a wonderful cafe and were lucky to get a table, as most were reserved.  This proved to be a very good recommendation and showed how popular the cafe was. They sat down for a large pot of tea and some very nice bacon rolls. These were well received after the long journey, or not so long for some!!

They then returned to the masonic centre and were treated to some coffee and biscuits while conversing with the members of the Division and other visitors from near and far.

The meeting, officiated by the Intendant General for the Division of Dorset and Wiltshire, R. Ill. Kt. Alan Curley,  went very well and was enjoyed by all in attendance.

Following the meeting, we all adjourned to the bar for pre dinner drinks and more conversation with member and guests alike. A wonderful festive board was then had by all. They then said goodbye to all and made they way home.

All had a great day out in Wareham, and they hope that the Division will be kind enough to invite them again next year.
