Heads of Orders at Richard Bond Lodge to give introduction to respective Orders

On Thursday 25th April 2024, representatives from several of the Companion Orders were invited to attend Richard Bond Craft Lodge to introduce the members of the lodge and the visitors to their respective Orders.

Those in attendance were, from left to right in the above picture, R. Em. Kt. Pt. Malcolm Lloyd, Grand Superintendent and High Prelate of the Holy Royal Arch Knight Templar PriestsR. Ill. Comp. Jeremy Shaw, District Grand Master of the Royal and Select Masters, R. Ill. Kt. Steven Groeger, Intendant General of the Masonic and Military Order of Red Cross of Constantine, R. W. Bro. George Deacon, Provincial Grand Master of the Mark Master Masons, Bro John Turner (supporting R.W.Bro George by wearing Mark Master masons regalia), R. W. Bro. Richard Dunleavy, Past District Grand Master of the Allied Masonic Degree and W. Bro Adrian Warr (also supporting R.W.Bro George by wearing the Royal Ark Mariner regalia).

The Lodge was opened and performed their general business then they called-off. Once the lodge was called-off the Director of Ceremonies invited the Companion Orders representatives to enter the lodge. They entered and were each introduced to the Worshipful Master by the event coordinator, W. Bro. Robert Brown, and they then took their seats in the West in front of the Senior Warden.

Each representative was then invited to give a 5-10 minute introduction to their Order. Each gave a short history of their Order, some brief information on the ceremonies that the candidates undertake, the qualifications for entry and information on the regalia worn, as well as other interesting information on the Order.

Once each had given their presentation, they retired from the Lodge, allowing the Lodge to complete is business. Once the Lodge was closed we all met in the bar for some interesting discussions and provided those that were interested with additional information about the Orders. A wonderful festive board was had by all along with more discussions.

All the lodge members and visitors were very grateful for the presentations, several of whom stated that they had not know that there were so many other aspects to Masonry, especially all the other Companion Orders that were available to join. The lodge is looking forward to another presentation from some of the other Companion Orders.

If your Lodge or Chapter would like to have a similar presentation then please contact W. Bro. Robert Brown (email: bbrobert.brown8@gmail.com), who would be more than happy to work with your Lodge/Chapter to organise a suitable date and attendees from the Companion Orders.
