On Saturday 8th March the Intendant General, R.Ill.Kt. Steve Groeger and Deputy Intendant General, V. Ill. Kt. Kevin Todd MBE, travelled to sunny Kent to attend the Kent annual Division Conclave meeting.
Also in attendance were 10 other Intendants General, 7 Deputy Intendants General ,5 Divisional Recorders an many other guests and Heads of other Orders in Kent as well as many members of the Division, which made a very well attended meeting.
On arriving we were welcomed with Tea and Biscuits and optional Bacon rolls, which are always appreciated after an early start and a long journey.
After the processions into the Divisional Conclave an excellent Rededication Ceremony was given by the Divisional High Prelate with reading given by the Intendant General. The Divisional Conclave meeting was then opened by the Intendant General, R. Ill. Kt. David Green after which he welcomed all the Guests.
The main business of the meeting was the appointment and investiture of the Divisional Officers. This started with the re-appointment of Ill.Kt. Robin Wilshire as the Deputy Intendant General and he thanked the Intendant General for this honour. The remainder of the Divisional Officers were then appointed in an exceptional manner by the Intendant General.
The Intendant General then addressed the meeting in which he mentioned the success of the recruitment challenge that he set last year and that he would be presenting certificates to those Conclaves that met his challenge.
The meeting was closed and before processing out several photographs were taken with the visiting Intendants General, see below.
We retired to the bar for drinks and some joyful conversation prior to a very enjoyable festive board. We left feeling very replete and happy and into nice sunshine for the journey home.
We thank R.Ill.Kt.David and the members of the Division of Kent for their very friendship and wonderful meeting and hope they will invite us back again next year.
