The First Lesson was read by the R. Ill. Intendant-General, Steven Groeger, followed by the Second Lesson from the Deputy Intendant-General, Ill. Kt Mark Denton. The Address was then delivered by Rev. Tony Richards who delivered it with poise.

The Service was marked by a spirited rendition of hymns supported by the exceptional playing of the principal organist, Derek Beck. He has been their organist for 40 years and his expertise was evident. The congregation rose admirably to the occasion although some voices may have relied more on enthusiasm than musical precision.

Members of the Divisional Guard were on duty throughout, acting as ushers and distributing the Order of Service to everyone in attendance.

Following the Service, we retired to the Brethren’s Hall for High Tea.
